Photographic Library
The Photographic Library at Fundación Espigas contains a database with a unique archive that comprises 7,300 digitized photographic documents about the development of Argentine culture and visual arts. Various supports display images of ourstanding works, events, and protagonists of our visual arts. There are photographs of Argentine and foreign artists’ works and interventions, and of artists, collectors, gallerists, cultural managers and other protagonists of the art field. Among other recorded materials, you will also find photographs of exhibitions, events, openings, and architectural views.
The Digitization and Cataloguing Project at Fototeca Espigas is a joint undertaking between Fundación Espigas and Fundación Telefónica de Argentina.
The Fototeca also received the support and collaboration of Fondo Metropolitano de la Cultura, las Artes y las Ciencias de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.. and the Fundación Bunge y Born.. Candelaria Artundo and the Fundación Espigas Database team conduct the research and management.
