How to search in our database
You may consult our database through a “simple search” by typing in a keyword or an “advanced search” by typing in data in one or more boxes of the search section. The records include the following:
a) Identification data of the photographic document: identification of the document, digital location or high-definition storage, physical location (an archive or envelope located at Fundación Espigas), origin.
b) Photographic support data: author of the photographic document, title of the photograph, date of the entry or creation of the document, support, type of document, size.
c) Image data:
- Description of what you can see.
- Notes: additional details or information about the photograph.
- Descriptors: key words and/or proper names that help identify the topics in the photographic document. Descriptors are in agreement with the terminology established by the Union List of Artist Name (ULAN) and the Art & Architecture Thesaurus, both of them established by the Getty Research Institute. When the needed reference could not be found in the said terminology, the Fundación Espigas database provided its own terms.
At each database entry there is an image of the recorded document. You can enlarge the image by clicking on it. High resolution digital records can be consulted on our premises.
